Day 35: Continue Presentation Skills Discussion

Presentation Practice
  • Today, you will once again stand at your seat and introduce yourself to the class in a friendly, clear, projected voice
    • First, greet the class 
      • "Hi everybody"
    • Then, introduce yourself:

      • We will be practicing presentation skills between now and then

Day 32: Intro to Digital Footprint Presentation Assignment

Preview the Digital Footprint Presentation Assignment

Instructions:  For this assignment you are going to create a presentation about your brand and your digital footprint.  Your presentation should include the following slides.


  • Title Slide
  • Introduction Slide--Overview of what is in your presentation
  • Body (content)Slides
    • Your brand - explain your brand
    • Digital Footprint
      • What is a Digital Footprint and why is it important?
      • What does your Digital Footprint include?
    • Social Networking
      • What tools do you use?  
      • Why do you use these  tools?
      • How often do you post and for what reason?
    • Does your footprint match your brand (provide evidence)?
    • What changes can you make to improve your digital footprint? Be specific
  • Conclusion

Additional information:

  • In addition to the required slides, you must include at least two images
  • The titles of your slides do not need to match the names of the bullet points listed above.
    • For example, the slide title for the ‘Your brand’ required slide might be something like:  The Smith Brand, or Creator and Innovator.  In other words, the title might be something that describes you.  It does not need to be generic.

  • When you are creating your presentation remember to think about the elements of design that we have talked about.

  • Add your professional photo to all of your accounts
    • Gmail, Twitter, LinkedIn, Weebly, Blogger, YouTube
  • If you have not done so already, make a copy of this helpful document and start preparing for your future by:
    • Creating your Resume
    • Preparing a general Cover Letter
    • Creating a list of your Network of Contacts:
      • What kind of people do you have your network?
      • The goal is establish quality relationships with others in your industry that you can potentially leverage, and create visibility for yourself.
