Day 2
Google Drive
Using folders and file naming conventions will help one stay organized online and will help increase one's overall productivity.
Tasks:
-
As you go through this module, complete the Gooogle Drive worksheet. (you'll need to make a copy of it)
-
As an introduction to Google Drive watch the Google Drive 2017 Tutorial - Quick Start video tutorial and take notes as you watch (don't try to write down everything... just the key points).
-
-
To maintain consistency throughout the class and to allow you to find your own files more quickly, we will all use the same file folder structure in our Google Drives. Add the following sub-folders to your Digital Literacy folder on your Google Drive:
-
01 Online Organization
-
02 Digital Footprint
-
03 Presentations
- 04 College Career Readiness
-
05 Computer Science
-
Then you need to "make a copy", rename, edit, share with anyone that has the link, and submit the Student Bio Doc Assignment using the Assignment Submission Form (never share or email a document to me; use the submission form)
- Turn in the Google Drive Worksheet
-
Working collaboratively (in groups) is becoming more and more important in our society. To help you practice collaborative learning you need to:
-
Create a "private", shared document with several classmates that highlights all the Digital Literacy Topics that you've learned so far. When you are finished, use the Submission form to "turn in" your assignment.
