Day 31: More Presentation Practice

Typing Club
  • Complete daily practice in Typing Club using proper technique (remember to focus on how you type, not how well). Work on one lesson for 5 to 10 minutes repeatedly, each day
Presentation Practice
  • Today, you will stand in the front of the room and introduce yourself to the class in a friendly, clear, projected voice
    • First, greet the class 
      • "Hi everybody"
    • Then, introduce yourself:
      • "My name is FirstName LastName"
      • "I am a _____________ here at West Leyden"
      • tell them something about yourself
        • "One thing you should know about me is..."
    • Finally, thank the audience before you start back to your seat:
      • "Thank you"
    • Try to avoid
      • "Umm"
      • "And"
      • fidgeting
    • Try to
      • make eye contact
      • connect with the audiance
      • sound natural
      • project your voice
      • speak slowly
      • sound friendly
